Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the students, staff, and programs of the Schuylkill Valley School District. We thank you for your interest in volunteering!

Our volunteer clearance requirements support the district's commitment to providing a healthy, safe, and nurturing environment for students.

Volunteer Clearance Instructions

The following documents must be on file with the district prior to the first day of volunteer service. Submit all forms to Human Resources.

• Volunteer application
• PA Child Abuse History Paper Application or submit via PA Child Abuse History Report Website or signed Affidavit & Agreement (needed if a quick start date for volunteering is necessary) AND PA Child Abuse History Clearance application.
• FBI Clearance Registration Website - FBI fingerprinting registration and appointment scheduling website.  The service code is 1KG6ZJ.
  FBI Clearance or FBI Clearance Exemption Form - If you have been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period AND you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.
  If you have not been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period but you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history AND you have obtained a Federal criminal history report (FBI clearance) at any time since establishing residency then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.
  FBI Clearance Exemption Form - MINORS - If you have been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period AND you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.
  If you have not been a resident of Pennsylvania during the entirety of the previous ten-year period but you are not disqualified from service by reason of criminal history AND you have obtained a Federal criminal history report (FBI clearance) at any time since establishing residency then you DO NOT need to process the FBI clearance.
• State Police Clearance Paper Form or complete via State Police PATCH System (preferred).

• Mandated Reporter Acknowledgement - Sign and submit after reviewing Mandated Reporter Information. 

• Volunteer Acknowledgement - Sign and submit after reviewing School Board Policy 916 - Volunteers and School Board Policy 806 - Child/Student Abuse.
